he property is a large farmhouse in charming hamlet in a mountain valley that is a 20 minute drive from Aliaga. Aliaga is a small town with supermarket, library, restaurants medical centre etc. and is located in an amazing geological park. The hamlet of La Cañadilla has about ten houses, a small chapel and community house. The valley is farmed by a lovely family that lives in the hamlet.
The surrounding area is popular for walking and is a licensed area for hunting with wild boar and mountain goats as well as lots of wild birds and wildlife.
The house is structurally sound; the outside walls have been professionally renovated. Some of the internal rooms are in a basic but habitable condition. There is a great potential to renovate to a large family house, small hotel or B&B or even to apartments.
It is set back from the road, accessed by a drivable track and being stone built with rustic wooden beams, large rooms and old features it is very attractive. It has the added benefit of being connected to water and electricity.
The front door is up a few steps to the oldest part of the house and leads on to a hallway that leads to several rooms. One is a small bathroom with a bath, lavatory and basin. Water is heated by an immersion heater that also serves the kitchen. There is a large septic tank in the garden for the waste. The second door leads to a room that that was used as a cooking room with a chimney to the roof. The third door leads to another landing with stairs to the next floor and a door to a large room that was used as storage. The fourth door leads to stairs to the upper part of the newer section (but still very old) of the house. There are two or three steps up to the fifth door that leads to a living room with fireplace, steps down to a ground floor room and a door to the kitchen. The Kitchen has two walk in cupboards, one with a sink.
The stairs off the entrance hall to the first floor of the old part of the house lead to a hall with three doors, one to a large bedroom with French windows and a bed enclave. The second leads to a smaller bedroom and the third leads to a large room that was probably used for storage but could also be made into a bedroom. The stairs at this level continue to the massive loft with very high ceilings. The roof is in reasonable condition but will at some point need an overhaul.
The door off the ground floor hall to the upper levels of the newer part of the house leads to a huge top room. This leads on the same level to another similar sized large room. This has stairs leading down to a vast second floor room (this room is on the same level as the kitchen) with a fireplace and storage room. The large first floor room has stairs leading down to a large room that was originally a stable. Next to this but accessed from the outside is another stable type room and next to that a further stable type room which has stairs leading up to the living room (next to the kitchen). Outside is a roofed in area which is open on one side and land extending to about 7 meters from the house on two sides.
