- En primer lugar, a finales del pasado mes de julio acabamos una obra importante de conservación y mejora que consistió en la sustitución completa del tejado, incluida su infraestructura (adjunto fotos) con todas las bajantes de agua nuevas, además de realizar un acabado que facilita la permanencia del edificio durante muchos años en perfectas condiciones. Además se impermeabilizaron todas las fachadas (las que se ven desde el exterior y la que no se ve (y que da al patio interior) con un material recomendado por el arquitecto municipal, que garantiza la buena conservación del edificio.
- Esta casa fue construida en la década de 1890 y dedicada a una fábrica de dulces y pasteles (quedan aún vestigios de los hornos) y a vivienda, y en la década de 1940 fue adquirida por mi familia y dedicada a un negocio de venta y reparación de bicicletas en una parte del edificio y a venta de materiales de construcción en otra parte, además de a vivienda familiar. Se puede decir que es un edificio con vocación de negocio.
- En el interior no hemos realizado reparaciones excepto las que han sido necesarias para conservación del edificio. Creo que lo que se ha de hacer dependerá de los objetivos del comprador.
- En cuanto al entorno, Mansilla de las Mulas (aproximadamente 1900 habitantes y dotada de toda clase de infraestructuras tales como Instituto de Enseñanza Media, Ambulatorio de la Seguridad Social, Estación de Autobuses, zona de ocio con piscinas, campos de deportes y frontón) está a 18 Kms. de León capital y en pleno camino de Santiago. La casa está en la que fue la calle principal primero y carretera general Adanero-Gijón (actualmente tanto la carretera como la autovía Valladolid-León pasan por fuera de la población). Por Mansilla pasa el río Esla que es uno de los mas caudalosos de España, afluente del río Duero. Aún se conservan buena parte de las murallas que rodeaban la población que está declarada Monumental y aquí está ubicado el MUSEO ANTROPOLÓGICO DE LEÓN.

It can be said that it is a building with a business vocation. - Inside we have not made repairs except those that have been necessary for the conservation of the building. I think what needs to be done will depend on the buyer's goals. - As for the environment, Mansilla de las Mulas (approximately 1900 inhabitants and equipped with all kinds of infrastructures such as Institute of Middle Education, Ambulatory of Social Security, Bus Station, leisure area with swimming pools, sports fields and fronton) is 18 km from León capital and in the middle of the road to Santiago. The house is in what was the main street first and general road Adanero-Gijón (currently both the road and the Valladolid-León highway pass outside the town).
Through Mansilla passes the River Esla which is one of the sallowest in Spain, a tributary of the Douro River.
